ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Overview

The 6-month full-time Post Basic in Perioperative Nursing programme is designed for Registered Nurses who wish to advance their expertise in caring for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.

 

This programme prepares nurses to work closely with:

  • • Surgeons
  • • Anaesthesiologists
  • • Surgical technologists
  • • Other members of the perioperative care team

 

Students will acquire specialised knowledge and practical skills in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care to ensure safe and effective surgical outcomes.

Entry Requirement

  • • Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
  • • Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board
  • • Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • • Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
  • • Min 2 years clinical working experience
  • • Medically Fit
