ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The 6-month full-time Post Basic in Gerontology Nursing programme is designed for Registered Nurses who wish to specialise in caring for older adults.
The programme focuses on the physical, mental, and social aspects of ageing, helping students understand:
- • Age-related changes
- • Chronic illnesses in older adults
- • Psychosocial needs
- • Holistic approaches to promote healthy ageing
Graduates will be equipped to provide high-quality, person-centred geriatric care in diverse settings.
- • Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
- • Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board
- • Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- • Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- • Min 2 years clinical working experience
- • Medically Fit
