The 6-month full-time Post Basic in Renal Nursing programme is designed for registered nurses who wish to advance their knowledge and skills in the specialised field of renal nursing. The programme focuses on developing the competencies required to provide comprehensive care for patients with a range of acute and chronic kidney conditions.
Students will develop knowledge and skills in caring for patients with:
- Chronic kidney disease
- Acute kidney injury
- End-stage renal failure
The programme also emphasises patient education and family support, enabling nurses to provide holistic, compassionate, and patient-centred renal nursing care.
