Course Description
This interactive workshop will provide clinical educators with foundational knowledge of teaching and learning practice in clinical education. This is a 2-days workshop with lectures, discussions and presentation. Participants will receive a certificate detailing their successful completion at the end of the workshop.
Course Objective
By attending this workshop, you will be able to:
- Define what is clinical educator.
- Describe learning preferences, styles, and learning climate.
- Explain the characteristics of effective clinical educators.
- Describe learning strategies in conducting clinical teaching.
- Create a mini lesson plan for clinical teaching
- Describe the principles of assessment and effective feedback.
- Demonstrate awareness of inter-professional collaboration in clinical teaching.
Pre-Requisite
- Holders of approved Diploma / Degree in Nursing with or without working experience. Participants are expected to have knowledge of basic nursing skills.
